I gave it the ol' college try last night when I got home from school to find out how much water came out of the bathroom shower in a set time.  I gathered my measuring cup and a stopwatch...

and in just over 10 seconds (10.39 seconds) I was able to gather 950mL of water.  If we extrapolate from that (fancy word!) we can estimate that for every minute of water flow we will have approximately 6L of water.  If you have a 5 minute shower, that comes to 30L of water.  If you have a 10 minute shower, you use 60L of water...
