I stumbled across this gem of a website from TED where it has videos to show, explain, and demonstrate with the different elements from the periodic table. Fantastic!
There's also this dynamic periodic table you can interact with to learn more about the elements. Our class participated in a special contest that PACIFIC SPORT FRASER VALLEY was offering, where students were given an Active BINGO full of a variety of physical activities. The class in each grade who had the greatest percent of participation would win a class set of Vancouver Giants tickets. And guess who won! Those Handel Homeroom kiddos are COMPETITIVE. That means that each student will receive a pair of tickets - one for them, and one for an accompanying adult. So proud of our class' turn out for the Active BINGO - they really got into it!
