I stumbled across this gem of a website from TED where it has videos to show, explain, and demonstrate with the different elements from the periodic table. Fantastic!
There's also this dynamic periodic table you can interact with to learn more about the elements. Our class participated in a special contest that PACIFIC SPORT FRASER VALLEY was offering, where students were given an Active BINGO full of a variety of physical activities. The class in each grade who had the greatest percent of participation would win a class set of Vancouver Giants tickets.
And guess who won! Those Handel Homeroom kiddos are COMPETITIVE. That means that each student will receive a pair of tickets - one for them, and one for an accompanying adult. So proud of our class' turn out for the Active BINGO - they really got into it! These are the possible dates/times/team our Giants will be up against. Please have a look and let me know what works best for your child and for you. Well done, 71! FSA link. You will need your PEN (Personal Education Number) on the front of your booklet, as well as the password written on the front board. Do your best, and don't forget to breathe. We are almost finished with the FSAs!
