Good day, everyone! Today in Math we reviewed one-step equations and how to solve them using opposite operations.
example:
2x = 4
2 2
x = 2
After we discussed this concept and practiced it in class, we moved on to two-step equations.
example:
3n - 5 = 16
+5 +5
3n = 21
3 3
n = 7
Don't forget that your child has a Gizmos account and can access it from any computer connected to the internet. I will leave their accounts open until September. They opened their account this past Tuesday and just need their username and password to access it.
Another great resource for you and your child to explore is Khan Academy. Here you will find a wide assortment of tutorials for all kinds of Math concepts.
Happy Thursday,
Ms. H
