Monday, July 17th

7/18/2017

Hello All!

Today was a busy, busy day - we began our fractions unit!

We learned about prime numbers and the divisibility rules on Friday and reviewed these concepts today before beginning.  After that, we discussed and practiced:
  • Numerators and Denominators
  • Equivalent Fractions (and putting fractions into lowest terms)
  • Lowest Common Multiple (LCM)
  • Common Factors
  • Greatest Common Factors (GCF)

Like I said, it was a busy day full of practicing representing fractions and putting them into lowest terms.  This will be the foundation we build on when we move on to adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions throughout the rest of the week.

Happy Monday,
Ms. H
