Today we worked on learning and reinforcing how to multiply numbers. We started off with multiplying single, double, and triple digit numbers by one digit, and finished the day with multiplying numbers by groups of 10s, 100s, and 1000s.
There are a few really good links here you can look at when you're at home to help reinforce the learning we have done in the classroom today.
Students received all of the quizzes they have completed to date (they've been sitting there, just waiting for us to hand them out and today we had a few minutes to spare to do just that!). I have promised students a minty treat if they bring back the quizzes signed by a parent or guardian. Some students were concerned about the mistakes they made on the tests and I tell them (and you) this: mistakes can be made - it's fine to make mistakes and a regular part of the learning process - but you must LEARN from your mistakes. If your child got a question wrong, please take a moment to go over these with them.
More multiplication awaits us tomorrow!
Happy Monday,
Ms. H
