It was great getting to meet my students for the first time today! Some of them already know each other and go to our school so they know their way around and are helping out their fellow classmates who are unfamiliar with Belmont Elementary.
Today was about getting our routines established as we only have 14 more days together (only 14?!).
We talked about RESPECT as the main driving force behind our actions in and out of the classroom - being respectful to each other (students and staff) and respectful to the school we are guests at for the next few weeks.
We also completed a rather sizeable assessment to find out the learning strengths and needs of our class.
A school assembly was held to help the students put names to faces for the various teachers we have on staff for this summer session and we watched a great video from Kid President to help kick off a positive learning experience.

I'll see you all tomorrow morning at 9am! Don't forget your completed forms!
