Today we worked on:
Boggle! I gave the class a set of 16 random letters and asked them to come up with as many 'real' words as they could in 10 minutes. I was delighted by the number and variety of words students came up with!
Correcting sentences - I gave students a set of sentences they needed to find the mistakes in and write the corrected sentence below. It's a work in progress. I'll be using student examples (minus their names to protect the innocent) in the future...
Despereaux - we read through four chapters today. Now that we have enough books to share, the reading went smoother and we were able to look for answers more easily afterward.
Homework for tomorrow:
Despereaux chapters 5, 6, 7, and 8 questions (full sentences, please!) and vocabulary words defined.
